The Zanzibar Basic Education Public Expenditure Review was prepared by a World Bank team led by Samer Al-Samarrai (Senior Economist) and including George Senyoni (Consultant, World Bank), with additional analysis by Elisé Miningou (Economist, Global Partnership for Education) and support from Nick Bain (Consultant, World Bank). A UNICEF team consisting of Federica Margini (Economist), Annette Kyakuwa (Consultant) and Montserrat Pejuan (Social Policy Specialist) contributed to the report by providing written inputs on public financial management aspects of the review, and by assisting with data collection and analysis.
