For over ten years, IDS’s Sanitation Learning Hub(SLH, previously the CLTS Knowledge Hub) hasbeen supporting learning and sharing across theinternational sanitation and hygiene (S&H) sector.The SLH uses innovative participatory approachesto engage with both practitioners, policy-makers andthe communities they wish to serve. We believe thatachieving safely managed sanitation and hygiene forall by 2030 requires timely, relevant and actionablelearning. The speed of implementation and changeneeded means that rapidly learning about what isneeded, what works and what does not, filling gaps inknowledge, and finding answers that provide practicalideas for policy and practice, can have exceptionallywidespread impact. Our mission is to enable theS&H sector to innovate, adapt and collaborate ina rapidly evolving landscape, feeding learning intopolicies and practice. Our vision is that everyone isable to realise their right to safely managed sanitationand hygiene, making sure no one is left behind in the drive to end open defecation for good.
