Skin diseases constitute the fourth most common form of all human diseases, affecting one-third of the world’s population. Skin diseases impact all aspects of the lives of affected patients and have a detrimental effect on the physical and psychological well-being - of not only patients but also caregivers and family members. Despite global rise in prevalence and significant physical and emotional burden, severity of skin diseases including atopic dermatitis (AD), alopecia areata (AA), and vitiligo, are often overlooked by health policymakers.
